It just might be...
Doing nothing is the hardest torture that a person can put himself through. For you are brought face to face with your own self, which demands that you give account for the sun which you uselessly squander, for the spring of energy in your organism, the gold of wisdom in the mines of your brain. The masses work, slog, forget. They drink the alcohol of their sweat. Work is a flight from responsibility and the universe. Doing nothing out of principle ... that is nowadays the most violent form of revolt. But the question is, do you have the courage to gaze into yourself for so long? To see, to understand and to behold? Nothing to hide, nothing to excuse. Just the pure iteration of who you are. Scary, isn't it?
